Accepting financial risk for patient populations means looking towards the future

At NAACOS last month, CEO Pranam Ben talked about strategies that can help ACOs better perform.

A recent study of 240 ACOs shows us a few opportunities to increase performance:

• 47% surveyed said that they are planning for shared savings/shared risk.
• However, care management strategies are showing slow signs of change.

This study shows us that while ACOs are still undergoing changes and redesign, many are not leveraging technology or appropriate strategies for managing populations.
